Midway Medical Center
Company Overview
Midway's goal is to provide families with high quality healthcare. The health and wellbeing of our patients is our first priority. The relationship between physicians, staff, and patients is a partnership. We believe that good medical care results from mutual understanding, respect, and trust.
Company History
Midway Medical Center was founded in 1959.
The physicians that founded the practice opened at 7:00 am and closed at 9:00 pm six days a week and they were open 2 hours each Sunday afternoon. House calls were made during lunch and after work. At the time, Midway was unique as being one of the first, if not the first clinic with a shared call and a shared expense concept in the country.
Cost of services in 1959:
Office visit - $3
Urinalysis - $1
Hemoglobin test - $1
Chest xray - $10
Delivering baby - $75
Total Obstetrics Care - $125
Although the original physicians and staff that founded our office have retired, we have many long-term staff and we place a high value on our role in the community. Midway Medical Center remains a strong, independent practice with a bright future.
Today Midway Medical Center has offices in Clyde and Canton. We are full service family doctors providing total care for our community. Midway services include: geriatrics, minor emergencies, dermatology, allergies, cholesterol & prostate screening, high blood pressure management, and complete healthcare for Infants, children and adolescents.
Benefits
As an independent practice, physicians have the highest degree of flexibility in selecting benefits. We have group health and dental options, as well as a retirement plan, but physicians choose their benefits according to their personal preferences.
